The cast and crew of our latest production, I Remember
Mama, had finished their last show and were beginning to strike the set and cleanup the building when the devastating tornado
made its way through Joplin. The winds blew, the walls crumbled and when it passed, the building that housed Stained Glass
Theatre Joplin was gone. There were 56 members of the Stained Glass family in the building; three members of our family
lost their lives and six others were seriously injured. We are heartbroken over our losses, but the God-given spirit of the
Stained Glass Theater family is strong and we appreciate all the love, support, encouragement and especially the prayers that
have been sent our way as we begin to look for the direction that God would have us move.
We have assembled
short-term and long-term action teams to explore the options and possibilities that lay before us. Our goals are to seek God's
will and timing as we care for our SGT family and begin to plan for the future.
